Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 17, 2026
1. General Information
The JIRA Time Tracker extension (hereinafter — "Extension") is designed with user privacy in mind.
This policy describes what data is collected, how it is used and stored.
2. Data Collected
2.1. Local Data
The Extension stores the following data locally in your browser (Chrome Storage API):
- Task data: task keys, titles, work time, comments
- Extension settings: user preferences, integration settings
- Statistics: data on work time, projects, tasks
- Access tokens: tokens for integrations (Jira, Google, Mattermost) — only if you have connected integrations
Important: All this data is stored only on your device and is not sent to third-party servers,
except for the integrations you have chosen.
2.2. Data Transmitted to Integrations
The Extension transmits data only to the services you explicitly connect to:
- Jira: work time data (worklog) — only during manual export
- Google Calendar: reading calendar events for automatic meeting tracking
- Google Drive/Sheets: saving settings and exporting data to spreadsheets (only if you have enabled the integration)
- Mattermost: updating user status (only if you have enabled the integration)
2.3. Data NOT Collected by the Extension
The Extension does NOT collect and does NOT transmit:
- Personal information (name, address, phone)
- Financial data
- Authentication data (passwords, PIN codes)
- Web search history
- Location data
- Data about user actions outside the extension
3. Use of Data
The collected data is used exclusively for:
- Extension functionality (time tracking, statistics)
- Work of the integrations you have chosen
- Synchronizing settings between your devices (via Google Drive, if enabled)
We do not sell or transmit data to third parties, except for the integrations you have chosen
(Jira, Google, Mattermost), to which you explicitly connect.
4. Data Storage
All data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome Storage API.
Data is synchronized between your devices via Chrome Sync (if Chrome synchronization is enabled).
If you have enabled the Google Drive integration, settings may be saved in your Google Drive
in the "time tracking" folder for synchronization between devices.
5. Data Deletion
You can delete all Extension data at any time:
- By removing the Extension from Chrome (all local data will be deleted)
- By clearing Extension data through Chrome settings
- By disabling integrations in Extension settings
6. User Rights
You have the right to:
- Know what data is being collected
- Access your data (all data is stored locally in the browser)
- Delete your data at any time
- Disable any integrations
7. Security
We take measures to protect your data:
- All data is stored locally in your browser
- Access tokens are stored in Chrome's secure storage
- Data is not transmitted to third-party servers (except for the integrations you have chosen)
- The Extension uses official APIs of services (Jira, Google, Mattermost)
8. Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of significant changes
through Extension updates or on this page.
